It strips metadata that generators and cameras embed: EXIF, XMP, ICC color profiles (including the Google sRGB profile common on ChatGPT images), C2PA Content Credentials, Photoshop IRB/IPTC tags, and comment segments. ChatGPT-style filenames are renamed on download.
Does this remove invisible pixel watermarks?
No. Metadata stored alongside the file is removed. Watermarks baked into the pixels themselves (such as SynthID-style marks) stay in the picture.
Is my image uploaded to your server?
